V-Rate
The Velocity Rate Manager (V-Rate) provides a one-stop application that sources market rates from providers. It also ensures cleansed rates of a tradeable quality are supplied to external e-commerce applications called channels, removing the need for further downstream intervention. Velocity understands the importance of ensuring that the two main requirements of (a) mitigating the risk to the bank and (b) ensuring a first class provision of reliable and tradeable prices to its clients are met.
V-Rate achieves this by providing the following functionality:
- Retrieval of market rates from one or more Providers
- Validation of Rate sources to ensure they are reliable
- Manipulation of rates from the valid Rate Sources
- Intervention of Rate Sources by Traders
- Distribution of rates in the required format to external applications
- Audit Trail recording any changes to rate sources, when and by whom.
